The steps towards the establishment of a modern commercial airstrip at Kerenga in Kericho County have today come closer home, after aviation experts from the Kenya Air Force landed to assess the grounds and to offer technical professional advice on its establishment.
The County Government has set aside 100 million this financial year for its establishment. The major project now only awaits Professional input including the layout and Security from the Kenya Civil aviation and the Air Force for its implementation to commence.
Speaking after receiving this the team the Governor, H.E. Prof. Paul Chepkwony expressed optimism on the great economic gains that the airstrip will offer. He also thanked the National Government for partnering with the County Government in the venture.
