Eng. Fredrick Kipng'etich Kirui
Eng. Fredrick Kipng'etich Kirui was elected alongside H.E. Governor Dr. Eric Kipkoech Mutai. He is the third deputy governor in Kericho county after taking over from his predecessor H.E. Lily Chepng'etich Ng'ok. The first Deputy Governor was the late, H.E. Susan Kikwai.
Engineer Kirui is an ERB registered Engineer with over 20 years of professional experience in Planning, Design, Construction Supervision and Management of Water Supply, Sanitation, Irrigation and water resources Projects in Kenya. He has worked on various, water, sanitation, irrigation and water resources projects funded by the Government of Kenya (GoK), the World Bank, African Development Bank, SIDA, KFW, etc. He has experience in GIS, Remote Sensing and Water Resources Modelling.
He is a proud alumnus of Jomo-Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) where he was awarded an MSc in Civil Engineering. He also holds a BSC degree in Agricultural Engineering (Soil and Water) from Egerton University. He attended Kericho High School for his secondary Education.
Engineer Kirui has served as a Board Member at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) where he chaired the board’s subcommittee on operations. He has also served as the Team Leader for the National Water Coverage Study and lead consultant for Rift Valley Water Services Board (RVWSB) and Lake Victoria Water Services Board (LVNWSB) on their many projects.
