The National Transport and Safety Authority(NTSA) in partnership with the County Government of Kericho, today held a mentorship program on road safety for all the County Government drivers.
The one-day training updated the drivers on the steps NTSA is taking to promote and ensuring safety of the drivers, passengers, pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.
Addressing the county officers, NTSA Road Safety Manager, Mr.Samuel Musumba underscored the need to focus on measures aimed at reducing accidents on our roads.
Present at the meeting were ,the CECM in charge of Public Works, Roads and Transport, Hon.Benard Bii, who lauded the county drivers for their exceptional discharge of duties and commitment to ensuring a smooth service delivery.
Hon.Bii assured the drivers that his department will work closely with NTSA and other partners in providing training opportunities for all drivers hence facilitating their career progression.
The drivers on their part requested that their promotions and their overall welfare be looked into.
